Dinamo Romprest believe in their chances to progress to CEV Cup semis
2014 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women
Bucuresti, Romania, February 10, 2014. Though last week they lost in straight sets to Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG, the players of Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI are still confident they can vie for a spot in the semis of the 2014 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women. On Wednesday as they host the return game on schedule for the Challenge Round they will be able to count on their best players – Diana Nenova, Alida Marcovici, Mariya Karakasheva, and Olga Ativi – who last week did not travel to Russia for the first match.
The General Manager of Dinamo Romprest, Marian Stefan sounds very confident about the chances of his team to win 3:0 or 3:1 to call for the golden set and try to get there their ticket to the semis: “We would write history because no Romanian team has ever made the top four in this competition” he states. “We have been working very hard to achieve this feat. We have decided to focus exclusively on this game so as to become the first team from Romania to make the semis since the format of this competition was revised. We have the right skills and are very motivated. On top of this, we are much honored to host a glorious team like Uralochka EKATERINBURG and their legendary coach Nikolay Karpol. I believe in my team and look forward to this game and to our qualification to the semis.”
Team captain Diana Nenova adds: “This is going to be a very difficult game and everyone knows the strength and value of the Russian teams. However, we do stand a chance and if we stick together, we can fight for the victory and a ticket to the semis.”
“The Russian team has players of the highest value but we will try to seize the night” stresses middle-blocker Alida Marcovici. “It is important that we go for the golden set and there our fans will push us to a victory that will draw the attention of the whole European Volleyball family.”
