ASPTT MULHOUSE wants ticket to Challenge Cup semis
2014 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Women
Mulhouse, France, February 9, 2014. France’s ASPTT MULHOUSE is gearing up for the return game in the 1/4 finals of the 2014 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Women which is coming up on Tuesday. ASPTT MULHOUSE got the right edge last week seizing the night in Slovenia where the players mentored by head coach Magali Magail beat Calcit KAMNIK 3:1.
“We are halfway through to the semis” Magail says. “However, this game will be difficult because the players of Calcit KAMNIK will be coming to France with nothing to lose” she adds.
However, things look pretty promising for the home side for ASPTT MULHOUSE may even lose the return game at the tie-break and still progress to the semis.
“We do not want to make any calculations and we just want to play our best also in order to delight our fans” the head coach stresses. “We want to step our game up and play even better than we did last week in Slovenia.”
The winner of this 1/4 final will most probably play Russia’s Zarechie ODINTSOVO in the semis after the team captained by the best setter of the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship, Ekaterina Kosianenko (Pankova), easily downed SLIEDRECHT Sport (NED) in straight sets at home.
