Noliko raises funds for more than 11,000 € to support three charities

Maaseik, Belgium, January 30, 2014. Belgium’s Noliko MAASEIK is currently supporting three different charities whose goal and mission is to help people in need: Bone4Kids, A Heart for Limburg, as well as the Fund for Germ cell tumors.
A spinning marathon was organized by Belgium’s multiple champions with the primary goal to raise funds for these organizations. The centre court of the Lotto Dôme was turned into a huge spinning room where some extra space was reserved to the sponsors and the fans of the 81 participants.
These spinners cycled – alone or in small groups – from 8:30am up to 8:30pm while spinning lessons were conducted by certified instructors from the company Basic Fit.
The Volleyball players of Noliko MAASEIK also joined this action as they accompanied one of the instructors for about one hour.
“This first charity event has been a huge success” says Noliko Assistant Manager Marc Vermeulen. “Via the registration fee paid by the participants, the contribution by our sponsors and some more proceedings from selling drinks and food we have collected 11.036,89 €. This is an excellent result that we are really satisfied with!”
