Rookie BEZIERS wants to bid farewell with home victory
2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Women
Béziers, France, December 16, 2013. France’s rookies BEZIERS Volley will be trying to claim their first victory in the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women as on Tuesday they host Germany’s vice-champions DRESDNER SC. The local heroines will also try to take their revenge after they lost their away game in Germany (1:3) hoping to finish their first campaign in this competition with at least one victory.
Last week BEZIERS Volley showed their best performance since the start of the season as they played Azerbaijan’s heavyweight Rabita BAKU and were close to call for a tie-break. They could not achieve this goal as they still lack international experience but they are in high spirits before they play their last game before the Christmas break. “DRESDNER SC has got very strong players and they combine youth and experience. They are always ready to fight and perform strong in offense especially with Lisa Izquierdo” says BEZIERS mentor Cyril Ong.
“We have to pay special attention to their setter whose distribution is very fast” adds Alexandra Rochelle. “We will have to perform well in service and reception if we want to win this game.”
