Aurubis takes on young Croatian side
2014 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Women
Hamburg, Germany, December 10, 2013. Germany’s Aurubis HAMBURG will play Croatia’s OK POREC on Wednesday at the CU Arena for the first round in the 1/16 finals of the 2014 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Women. After last year they beat ZOK RIJEKA, the 2013 semifinalists are taking on a Croatian side for the second time in history.
OK POREC comprises mainly young players whose average age stands at less than 20; on the other hand, Aurubis has much more experience especially on the international stage after making the semis in the last edition of the Challenge Cup. As in the previous round where they played Slovakia’s Doprastav BRATISLAVA, Aurubis will have to show their best in order to lay the foundations for making it to the next round. Once more many fans are supposed to come together at the CU Arena under the usual slogan “See you – Volleyball meets friends”.
