Jihostroj continues European campaign in Challenge Round of CEV Cup
2013 CEV Volleyball Cup - Men
Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, January 14, 2013. After coming down from the prelims of the CEV Volleyball Champions League, Jihostroj CESKE BUDEJOVICE will continue its run in the European Cups by playing on Thursday Turkey’s Maliye Milli Piyango ANKARA in the Challenge Round of the CEV Volleyball Cup.
“Our opponent is very tough but we also feel ready to go for a victory” says Peter Platenik, who knows Turkey’s Volleyball pretty well via the time he spent there in the past years.
A special action was conceived to invite as many fans as possible to the sports hall for this clash. “Everyone who is coming to the game with a Turkish sword will get a Turkish coffee from our nice hostesses” adds middle blocker Radek Mach. “We hope it will be an interesting game for all of our fans”.
Head coach Jan Svoboda says the roster will be complete for this match even though libero David Juracka and middle-blocker Vladimir Sobotka this past weekend missed the last round of the national league.
