ASPTT MULHOUSE needs home win with Pool leader to prolong its European adventure
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women
Mulhouse, France, December 9, 2012. Currently ranked fourth in Pool C with three points, France’s ASPTT MULHOUSE will round out its campaign in the prelims of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women by hosting the provisional leader of the group, i.e. Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL of Turkey.
In order to finish third in the Pool and have a chance to continue its adventure in Europe’s most elitist competition or be moved to the Challenge Round of the CEV Cup, ASPTT MULHOUSE has to score a 3:0 or 3:1 home win and hope that Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI will be edged by Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO in the other match of the group. As they crossed their ways in Turkey, ASPTT MULHOUSE delivered a good performance against Galatasaray eventually losing 1:3 but being very close to stretch the match to the tie-break. “We shall not feel any pressure, because we have nothing to lose” says French mentor Magali Magail who adds: “We are hosting the best team of the group and even though last time they were provided with good resistance, it will be difficult to exploit the home advantage. We still will give it all to claim a positive result”.
