Gamova's show powers Dinamo KAZAN to straight win in Urbino
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women
Urbino, Italy, December 4, 2012. Dinamo KAZAN of Russia dominated the scene on Tuesday night as last year’s bronze medalists downed Robur Tiboni URBINO in straight sets (28-26, 25-21, and 25-17) to cement their leadership in prelim Pool E of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women.
Dinamo was anchored by an unstoppable Ekaterina Gamova who amassed a total of 29 points all alone. This was simply too much to stand for URBINO that actually displayed a good performance in a close first set before Gamova started her own personal show. With this result URBINO – one of the rookies included in this year’s starting field – will almost surely miss a spot for the next stage but will try to play its best until the end of the League Round.
