BUDVA plays for all or nothing while hosting ACH Volley LJUBLJANA
2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Budva, Montenegro, January 5, 2012. Only by claiming their next match in Pool F the guys of Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA may remain in contention for one of the spots at stake to be moved to the Challenge Round of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Cup. They will have a very tough task as they play host to ACH Volley LJUBLJANA at “Mediterranean Sports Center”.
“It will be a very tough match but our previous game in France with TOURS VB was encouraging so we hope to go for a good result” says team captain Milan Markovic. “ACH Volley is an excellent team and we know their play very well. We should serve well and block with consistency and if we succeed in doing this, we shall have our own chances to claim the match” he adds.
BUDVA was very close to cause a surprise during the second round of action losing only at the tie-break in front of 8’000 spectators at “Stozice” sports hall in Ljubljana. Budvanska was even leading 2:0 but suffered the comeback of the home team that eventually had the upper hand.
“We have already demonstrated that we can play at equal level with ACH Volley. We did not have much luck in the previous game and enough strength to finish the match, but I hope we will delight our home fans. We know there is a lot at stake and we will do our best to bring it home” adds setter Simo Dabovic.
