After claiming Supercup Fenerbahce glances at another win in Innsbruck

Istanbul, Turkey, October 18, 2011. After claiming Turkey’s Supercup with a clear win in straight sets over Arkas IZMIR, Fenerbahce ISTANBUL will be opening its Champions League campaign this Thursday by playing Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK in Austria.
“Of course, winning the Supercup motivated us to do better and to achieve more. The Turkish Supercup is played before the new season starts, so it somehow sets the mood for the team and also for the fans at the beginning of each season. Now we claimed the Supercup and also won our first game in the Turkish league. The season is going very victorious for us, but I’m aware that the ultimate victory can only be achieved through another success in Austria. Our only aim is to qualify for the final four” Fenerbahce coach Daniel Jorge Castellani revealed when asked about the upcoming game against Hypo Tirol in Austria.
Team captain Arslan Eksi also added: “We are the first Turkish team to have ever qualified for the second round of the CEV Volleyball Champions League. We are proud of this success, but we also want to take this a step further. In order to reach our goals, we know that we have to beat Hypo Tirol. I know our fans will never leave us alone and I want to thank them for their endless support so far”.
