Rookies appreciate great professionalism of Noliko MAASEIK
News from the clubs
Maaseik, Belgium, October 16, 2011. Belgium’s Noliko MAASEIK has signed 5 players to be added to its group for the 2011/2012 season. These guys are all extremely happy to be part of the club and Latvian opposite Hermans Egleskalns comments: “I am really impressed. This is the best club I have ever played for”.
Twenty-one year old setter Matthias Valkiers and middle blocker Pieter Verhees (22) have moved this past summer to Maaseik from Belgium’s second representative in the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League, Euphony ASSE-LENNIK. They are also very satisfied with their choice: “Noliko MAASEIK is a very professional club” says Pieter. “You can clearly feel the ambition and every single day is challenging” adds Matthias.
Wannes Rosiers, 26 years of age who plays opposite, is the third Belgian addition to the team. “Our officials take care of every single detail, the players only have to focus on the game” he states.
The youngster of the group is 20-year old Dutch middle blocker Michael Parkinson. “This is for me an enormous challenge as the level of the training sessions as well as of the games is very high, so I can learn a lot and hopefully make some progress”.
The five guys (pictured) are all looking forward to their debut in the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League coming up this Wednesday as Noliko plays Iraklis THESSALONIKI in Greece.
