Almost 700 people attend CEV School Project webinars run in 2020
News from the CEV
Luxembourg, December 26, 2020. As many as 684 people from 71 countries across the globe attended the webinars run earlier this year by the CEV Technical and Development Department, which started with a first ‘wave’ in June / early July followed by another two series delivered in the late summer and earlier this month.
This is obviously a positive note to close on for a challenging year such as 2020. The figures speak to the fact that the CEV was able to adjust to the current situation and provide the best possible service to National Federations involved in the School Project, and well beyond through the delivery of three webinar series accounting for 11 sessions and involving eight different presenters.
The outbreak of the coronavirus crisis forced the cancellation of the second CEV Coaches Convention originally due to take place in June in Kranjska Gora. However, despite the many challenges and constraints brought by the pandemic, the CEV Technical and Development found a way to engage coaches/teachers from all over Europe and the world to learn more about improving their own practices, thus contributing to the overall growth of Volleyball at the grassroots level.
In the end, the impact of this action is huge and taking positives and learnings from this initiative, we can now look forward to planning additional interesting events in the future!
