Everything is set for exciting European qualification process to 2017 Men’s U21 and Women’s U20 World Champs
2017 FIVB U20 Women / U21 Men Volleyball World Championship - European Qualification

Luxembourg, November 10, 2016. After they put on a show earlier this summer when contesting the Final Rounds of their respective European Championships, Europe’s rising Volleyball stars will be taking centre stage again in early January when taking part in the qualification process for the 2017 edition of the FIVB Women’s U20 and Men’s U21 World Championships. As a result of the rules set by FIVB, two European teams per gender – Italy and Serbia for the Women’s U20, Russia and Italy for the Men’s U21 competition respectively – are already qualified to the World Champs since they feature among the top five in the FIVB Ranking for their respective age groups.

The European qualification to the 2017 FIVB Women’s U20 and Men’s U21 World Championships will commence in January 2017 with a first round as per the results of the Drawing of Lots held on Thursday at the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg.
