Béziers, France, February 21, 2017. After a 3-1 home win for Linamar - BÉKÉSCSABAI RSE over BEZIERS VB a fortnight ago, the teams faced off again in France with the Angels knowing they had to win 3-0 or 3-1 to then play a golden set. However, it wasn’t to be as the Hungarian team triumphed 3-1 again (25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 25-9).
Unfortunately, against a really strong team from Hungary, BEZIERS VB were not good enough across the two matches. By winning the second set, the hosts kept the suspense going but the third went the way of the away team and with it a place in the quarterfinals.
BEZIERS VB may have been missing their libero who had hurt herself the day before during practice, but this may not have been enough to stop the powerful play of the Hungarian team.
