Hungarian champions storm to away victory in Stara Pazova
2017 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Stara Pazova, Serbia, January 13, 2017. Hungary’s national champions Linamar – BÉKÉSCSABAI RSE stormed on Wednesday to a 3-1 away victory (25-17, 12-25, 25-16, 25-15) in their first matchup with Serbia’s Jedinstvo STARA PAZOVA on schedule for the 16th Finals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women.
The visiting team from Hungary proved to be stronger and better and even though the Serbian hosts put up a fight, they could not keep the pace of their opponents. Jedinstvo STARA PAZOVA were able to play their best game in the second set only but after that Linamar broke their resistance to travel home with maximum three points from this matchup. The players of Linamar looked focused and very motivated to win, and on top of this, they enjoyed great support from a bunch of fans who had travelled to Serbia for the match. Their middle blocker Dorottya Bodnar top scored with 14 points, including seven blocks. The return match will take place on January 25 and will take place in Békéscsaba, Hungary.
