TS Volley DUEDINGEN celebrate historic CEV Cup premiere in Fribourg
2017 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Duedingen, Switzerland, January 11, 2017. On Wednesday night Switzerland’s TS Volley DUEDINGEN will start their journey in the 2017 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women hosting France’s BEZIERS VB in the first round of the 16th Finals. After finishing the last edition of the NLA – Swiss national league in third place, TS Volley DUEDINGEN historically qualified for Europe’s second most prestigious club competition and will now take on BEZIERS VB, the current leaders of the French national championship.
The matchup with BEZIERS VB takes place at St. Leonhardhalle in Fribourg since the regular ‘home venue’ of the Power Cats – the nickname TS Volley DUEDINGEN go by – does not meet the requirements set for the CEV Volleyball Cup. The organisers have prepared a number of interesting activities and side events for fans, sponsors and friends alike with the match starting at 20:00 p.m. local time.
