Jihostroj take on Maccabi in Challenge Cup 8th Finals
2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men

Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, January 19, 2017. Jihostroj CESKE BUDEJOVICE are hosting on Thursday night Israel’s Maccabi TEL AVIV in a match on schedule for the first round of play in the 8th Finals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men.

Unfortunately, the Czechs cannot count on a full roster for this home fixture as their Chilean opposite Sebastian Gevert is currently injured. “Despite this, we are prepared for the match and we want to win,” says Czech head coach Jan Svoboda. Youngster Marek Sotola – who is only 17-years-old – will replace Gevert in the starting six of Jihostroj. As for the Israelis, they arrived in the Czech Republic quite early and have already had two training sessions at Jihostroj’s home venue. The matchup between Jihostroj and Maccabi will start at 18:00 local time.
