Modena, Italy, March 23, 2017.  Azimut MODENA won the return leg of their Playoff 12 match against Asseco Resovia RZESZOW 3-1 (25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23), and now face Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA in an all-Italian battle in the Playoffs 6 in a fortnights time.
 
The match between Azimut MODENA and Asseco Resovia was balanced in many ways. The hosts began well thanks to a good approach to the match and just edged it at the first technical time-out 8-7.  Continuing their positive play they managed to grow a lead to 20-15 and then an ace from Earvin Ngapeth closed the first set 25-23.

The second set was close from the start and the home team even led 19-17, however Resovia found a good feeling with the match and they won the second set 20-25.

Resovia started very strongly in the third set leading 7-5 and then 12-7. MODENA, however, hung in the set; Ngapeth was on fire and brought it back level, 22-22. The hosts closed the third set with the result of 25-23.

The fourth set started with MODENA ahead at 10-6. But Asseco believed in their chances, and point by point they brought it back level at 12-12.  In no time at all it was 22-22 before MODENA closed the match with the score of 25-23 and 3-1 sets – notably all their set victories were by the same score.
