2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Women

Ekaterinburg, Russia, February 10, 2016. Two Russian teams are about to cross their ways in the Playoffs 12 of the 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women. The first matchup between Russian Superleague bronze medallists Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG and five-time-in-a-row national champions Dinamo KAZAN will be played on February 11. The winner of this double clash – the return will follow in two weeks in the capital of Tatarstan – will be facing the eventual winners of the fixture starring Nordmeccanica PIACENZA of Italy and Poland’s PGE Atom Trefl SOPOT in the Playoffs 6 of Europe’s premier competition.

Uralochka-NTMK head coach Nikolai Karpol said: “Dinamo KAZAN have been the undisputed Russian champions for the past five years, we know them well and it is the most difficult and serious opponent for us. We have already played against Dinamo KAZAN during this season in the Russian Superleague and we lost in three sets. Now we want to show our best volleyball to our fans and make them happy with our performance.”
