Rabita BAKU hope to storm back after away loss to make CEV Cup finals
2015 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women

Baku, Azerbaijan, March 27, 2015. Rabita BAKU are determined to make the final stage of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women by delivering a world-class performance in their re-match with Russia’s Dinamo KRASNODAR which is coming up on Saturday in Azerbaijan’s capital. On Tuesday Dinamo recorded a 3:1 home win and this way the Russians got the right edge for the re-run of the semis in Baku. The hosts of Rabita, bronze medallists from last year’s CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League, are still very motivated to get back on track and vie for a spot in the finals.

“We played a very close match with Dinamo KRASNODAR on Tuesday but we ended up losing it mostly due to our own mistakes in reception,” says the coach of Rabita, Zoran Gajic. “Once we go for the re-match in Baku, we will be trying to claim a positive result and not to make any mistakes. Our goal is to go to the golden set and seize it. We are aware of the strength of our opponent, so we expect a tough match in Baku as well.”

The team captain of Rabita, Puerto Rican Aurea Cruz, adds: “We have been working really hard these days and for sure we want to show our best performance, something that we failed to do in Krasnodar. It is true that we made mistakes there but this won’t happen again here in Baku. This is an extremely important match and we hope to seize the night.”
