Szczecin, Poland, April 2, 2015. Chemik POLICE’s supporters are preparing for the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League women’s Final Four as diligently as the players themselves. Chemik fans came up with the idea of creating the biggest volleyball sector flag in Poland. Their efforts have been successful and during the tournament the Azoty Arena in Szczecin will boast a 450-square-meter large flag.
The campaign named “Special flag for Final Four” ran through the fans4club.com portal, where everyone interested could get involved. The funds needed for the production were raised very quickly and the amount of money exceeded the initial budget, so it was possible to prepare an additional flag – white and blue which are the clubs’ colours. In return, the supporters received tickets for the Final Four matches, a ball or a jersey with players’ autographs, and the opportunity to put their names on the sector flag. Each option had its own price tag.
Two of Chemik’s players, Malgorzata Glinka-Mogentale and Anna Werblinska acted as project ambassadors. Additional financial help was granted by the Stowarzyszenie Sympatykow Pilki Siatkowej Chemik Police supporters’ association and the Opinion Capital Group, which will also prepare an extra flag.
