It’s all or nothing for Italian champions Nordmeccanica PIACENZA
2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Women

Piacenza, Italy, January 26, 2015. On Wednesday night Italy’s champions Nordmeccanica PIACENZA will be trying to seize their last chance to make the Playoffs of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women when they host France’s RC CANNES for their last match in Pool E.  The expectations are really high in Piacenza as the players around head coach Alessandro Chiappini will be vying for a chance to continue their European journey this season.

Last week the Italians could not cash one of the six match balls they had in the match with Turkey’s giant VakifBank ISTANBUL and ended up losing at the tie-break. Their upcoming opponent, RC CANNES, also played five sets last week when they hosted Serbia’s champions Partizan Vizura BEOGRAD. The players from the French Riviera have already secured their ticket to the Playoffs and therefore are travelling to Piacenza with no pressure on their shoulders.

The previous match played in Cannes ended at the tie-break in favour of the French ladies. The Italian team is approaching this match with all players being fit and determined to erase memories from the 0:3 defeat from the last match they played in their national league with Liu Jo MODENA.
