Schöps joins Drzyzga and Nowakowski for another two seasons with Resovia
2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Men
Rzeszow, Poland, April 3, 2015. Fabian Drzyzga and Piotr Nowakowski are not the only players who are about to spend another two seasons with Asseco Resovia RZESZOW. The silver medallists from the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men will be able to count on their German opposite Jochen Schöps for the next couple of years as well.
“I feel good in Rzeszow and I would like to stay longer,” Schöps had recently stated in an interview. And he eventually decided to sign another two-year contract with the team from southern Poland.
Schöps has been playing for Resovia since 2012, becoming a Polish national champion and runner-up in the Polish Cup and Supercup as well. Last weekend in Berlin he helped Resovia claim their best result ever on the international stage winning silver at the Final Four tournament of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men. The German opposite is also a bronze medallist from last year’s FIVB World Championship and won Europe’s elite competition back in 2007 wearing the shirt of Germany’s VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN. Though his resume is already very impressive, Jochen is still hungry for more success…
