Tartu, Estonia, August 24, 2014. A few hours before the much-awaited finals of the 2014 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women getting underway in Tartu’s A. Le Coq Sports Hall, CEV President André Meyer expressed his warm thanks to the organizers, officials and referees for their excellent work during the last two weeks.
CEV President André Meyer delivered a very positive summary of the 2014 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women. “The organization committees in Tampere and Tartu made a great job. I would like to thank the Finnish Volleyball Association and Estonian Volleyball Federation for their relentless efforts and exemplary support. I’m looking forward to enjoying today’s finals.”
The 2014 CEV U19 Volleyball European Championship – Women final day will get underway on Sunday morning with the exciting final duels. The medal matches are scheduled for 16:30 (local time) when Turkey and Greece will battle for bronze and 19:00 (local time) with 2012 runner-up Serbia facing Slovenia for the gold medal clash of Europe's best women’s U19 teams.

11:30 Russia v Belgium (classification match 7-8)
14:00 Czech Republic v Bulgaria (classification match 5-6)
16:30 Turkey v Greece (bronze medal match)
19:00 Serbia v Slovenia (gold medal match)
One week before the men’s U20 national teams will battle for medals in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Estonia and Finland were in the spot light for the prominent CEV event at Tartu’s A. Le Coq Sports Hall that hosted Pool I and Tampere’s Exhibition and Sports Centre featuring Pool II. A total of 38 matches were played during the tournament, running from August 16-24, 2014.
