Brno, Czech Republic, September 6, 2014. The setter and the captain of Russia Pavel Pankov was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2014 CEV U20 Volleyball European Championship - Men. This is the second time he receives this top individual recognition from a major international competition after he was also declared MVP of the FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship Mexico 2013.
In an exciting awarding ceremony in Brno, Pankov was awarded by CEV Vice President and President of the Jury Banu Can-Schürmann and the President of the Czech Volleyball Federation Zdenek Hanik. The Russian captain was also selected as the Best Setter of the tournament.
Six more individual awards were presented based on match statistics from the two semifinals, the third place match and the final, as well as on the vote of the media representatives in the competition hall.
