Omichka OMSK REGION hosts German vice-champions in CL home debut
2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Women

Omsk, Russia, October 29, 2013. On Thursday Russia’s Omichka OMSK REGION will have their home debut in the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League as they host Germany’s DRESDNER SC for the second round of action in Pool A. Omichka debuted last week losing only at the tie-break to last year’s silver medallists Rabita BAKU of Azerbaijan while DRESDNER SC seized the night at home routing BEZIERS Volley of France in straight sets. The match will take place at the “V. Blinov” sports complex in Omsk, the venue that hosted the men’s Final Four last March.
DRESDNER SC will arrive in Omsk on Wednesday morning; the team is participating in the CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League for the third consecutive year and is one of the major forces to be reckoned with in the Bundesliga. DRESDNER SC won the 2010 edition of the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup as they hosted the Final Four and beat Belgium’s Asterix KIELDRECHT in the final match. Omichka and DRESDNER SC are crossing their ways for the first time though OMSK has played teams from 11 countries so far in the European Cups.
The game coming up on Thursday at 7 pm local time will be streamed live on LAOLA1.tv, and broadcast also by Russian TV channels NTV Plus Sport and GTRK Omsk.
