Russia keeps on rolling in Anapa
2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship - European Qualification

Anapa, Russia, May 8, 2013. The home guys of Russia claimed on Wednesday their second win at “Volley” Grad in Anapa as they try to secure a ticket to make it to the 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship scheduled for late August in Ankara and Izmir, Turkey. After downing Denmark in straight sets on Tuesday, the group mentored by head coach Sergey Shlyapnikov got past Austria 3:1 (25-17, 23-25, 25-21, and 25-17) to keep a perfect record after two days of action. The winner of the tournament will qualify for the World Championship and join there the hosts of Turkey, the 2012 European champions of Italy and the winners of the other qualification tournaments running this week.  
In the other match of the day, Montenegro edged Denmark 3:1 (20-25, 32-20, 25-20, and 25-13) to claim their first win in the competition after losing to Greece on the opening day. Montenegro caught a bad start losing the first set but brought it home after a terrific fight in the second (32-30) to control the game in the third and fourth for a 3:1 win.
