High-school students to "portray" Challenge Cup final in Piacenza
2013 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men
Piacenza, Italy, March 19, 2013. The students of the local high school for the arts will actively join the final match of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men coming up this Sunday in Piacenza and where the local heroes of Copra Elior will go for European glory playing Russia’s Ural UFA.
The young students of the “Bruno Cassinari” high school will be attending the match and use their artistic skills to portray the final from their own perspective. Since these promising artists are set to follow the game from the stands, the fans will be able to see their work come “alive” as it progresses through the match. After completion of the final, all works produced there will be posted on the official website of Copra Elior PIACENZA as well as on the homepage of their high school.
“I am very happy with this action which stands out for being extremely original, a real premiere in our sport” the setter of Copra Elior, Antonio Corvetta, says. “I am very curious to see what these young guys and girls will finally be able to produce. I am sure we’ll be surprised by their creativity and talent. They’ve got fantasy and they see things from a different point of view. If you ask me which position, in Volleyball, stands out for its artistry, though it may sound a little arrogant, I think that’s definitely the setter. He needs to combine fantasy with a clear vision of the game” he stated. “Anyway, the students will have the possibility to attend an elite Volleyball match and I do hope this will help draw their attention on our sport”.
“Though we have been active in a series of actions, this is something unique” said one of the teachers of that high school, Giovanni Gobbi. “We will make our best and we are grateful to the club for this opportunity”.
