MACERATA longs for yet another win to make it closer to Playoffs
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Macerata, Italy, November 19, 2012. Even though the group is missing Cristian Savani and Jiri Kovar – who have suffered major injuries and will be out for some months – Lube Banca Marche MACERATA is still the absolute dominant force in preliminary Pool D of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League, having scored three consecutive wins and conceded no sets at all to its opponents. With nine points MACERATA tops the provisional standings of the Pool, followed by Germany’s Generali UNTERHACHING with five and Slovenia’s ACH Volley LJUBLJANA with four.
On Wednesday Lube Banca Marche will host Generali at Palasport Fontescodella hoping to score yet another win in straight sets to make it closer to a spot in the Playoffs 12. “We have to claim this match, this is simply mandatory” says head coach Alberto Giuliani (pictured). “Before the start of the League Round I have asked my players to play their best to finish first in the group in order to live up to our reputation and get a good draw for the Playoffs. We need to score another win to almost complete our mission” he adds.
