TRENTINO's show in France to down TOURS VB in straight sets
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Tours, France, November 1, 2012. The four-time club world champions of TRENTINO Diatec literally outclassed the hosts of TOURS VB tonight as some 2'900 fans were in attendance at “Robert Grenon” sports hall. With this win in straight sets (25-19, 25-16, and 25-23) the Italians remain atop of the charts in Pool C after two rounds of play sharing the same points – six – with Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE of Poland.
TOURS VB tried to start out strong but eventually lost the opening set in 28 minutes with TRENTINO being anchored by Osmany Juantorena who scored 8 points all alone in this section of the match. In the second set, even though TOURS VB was loudly supported by the audience, the things were even easier for TRENTINO (25-16 in 23 minutes) before the home guys could keep the score close in the third set – mainly thanks to their opposite David Konecny and a series of good serves by setter Nuno Pinheiro. However, after clawing back to 23:24, TOURS VB made an unforced error and TRENTINO could celebrate a 3:0 win. Konecny and Juantorena top scored in the game with 16 points each.
