Arkas IZMIR ready to face Bulgarian rookie Marek Union-Ivkoni DUPNITSA
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Izmir, Turkey, October 23, 2012. Last year’s sensation Arkas IZMIR of Turkey will play on Wednesday Bulgaria’s rookie Marek Union-Ivkoni DUPNITSA for the first round of play in Pool F of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League. This much awaited clash will take place at “Atatürk” sports hall, a splendid venue that was totally re-furbished in the past months thereby having a capacity of 6’000 spectators.
After making it to the final four last year, Arkas would like to go for more success this season. “The philosophy of this club is to go one step further each year and we will do our best to claim good results in this elitist competition” says head coach Glenn Hoag. “It is our first match in this wonderful sports hall and we want to play well to make our fans happy” he adds.
“We respect every opponent and we’ll do our best to win every single game we play in the CEV Volleyball Champions League” stresses team captain Bülent Kandemir. “The support of our fans will be an extra motivation and we are confident we can make a good start”.
