Remat ZALAU ready to face Italian standout
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Zalau, Romania, October 21, 2012. The Romanian team Remat ZALAU is getting ready for Tuesday’s home clash with Bre Banca Lannutti CUNEO. The first match in Pool G of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League will take place at the renewed local sports hall in Zalau.
The event is widely regarded by the fans from Zalau as one of the most important Volleyball competitions of the year, bringing back in the international spotlight the players from Remat. With a few issues to manage in their national league strategy, the staff and Volleyball players of the team are confident with their comeback and they believe in having a good result with one of Italy’s superpowers. Remat ZALAU counts on the strength of some very experienced players like Adrian Feher or Fabian Birau and also on the enthusiasm of its youngsters, such as Serban Pascan, Mihai Maries and Vlad Tebies. Moreover, the return of Remat’s hero Peter Nagy will definitely bring optimism on the Romanian side. The Hungarian player is expected to join Remat on Monday, after completing the medical recovery.
On the other side, the Italian guys from CUNEO come after a four set-victory in the Italian Serie A in front of Tonno Callipo VIBO VALENTIA, bringing to Zalau international Volleyball superstars like Luigi Mastrangelo, Wout Wijsmans, Nikola Grbic or Tsvetan Sokolov that will play hardball to achieve their goal.

Mariusz Sordyl, the head coach of Remat ZALAU, stated: “Our guests are a very important team in the Italian championship, and their arrival in Zalau is a great event for the town. The match will be for sure a great show, both for the supporters and Romanian Volleyball. Even though the Italians are much better than us, we believe in our chance and we will fight for it. We have to focus on playing as well as we can, because we are taking part in an elitist competition. As our Pool is very strong, we need to get any points from these confrontations”.
The libero of Remat, Adrian Feher, seemed quite positive regarding the match. “We hope to play well compared to the level of our opponent and to gain at least one point in our Pool after this match. We are very honored for having the possibility of playing with CUNEO, which is in my opinion one of the best teams in the world. It will be a hard match, but we will do our best”.
