CZESTOCHOWA to lie down foundations for a possible all Polish final
2012 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men

Czestochowa, Poland, March 13, 2012. Poland’s Tytan AZS CZESTOCHOWA is about to play the first semifinal match of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup against Prefaxis MENEN of Belgium. After edging Portugal’s Fonte Bastardo AZORES, Unicaja ALMERIA (Spain) and RENNES Volley 35 of France in the previous rounds, the guys mentored by Marek Kardos are very motivated to advance to the last stage of the competition which may turn into a Polish derby with Politechnika WARSZAWSKA that is playing Tomis CONSTANTA in the second semifinal.
Head coach Kardos and his players have thoroughly analyzed the previous matches of Prefaxis and they evidently want to profit of the home advantage to get into a favorable position before the return match in Belgium. The local heroes are additionally motivated by the fact that tomorrow the head coach of the national team, Andrea Anastasi, will be in attendance, and so they will certainly try to show off their best. The match is scheduled for Wednesday starting at 7 pm local time.
