One more step for Poitiers to join Playoffs 12
2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Poitiers, France, January 16, 2012. After scoring a key away win last week in Germany, Stade Poitevin POITIERS is very close to qualify for the Playoffs 12 of the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League; with Generali UNTERHACHING lagging behind by 2 points, the French side needs nevertheless to edge Jihostroj CESKE BUDEJOVICE at home in the last round of action for the prelims.
The players of Stade Poitevin are literally exhausted as they played another five setter this past weekend in the national league, so they will have to get back all of their mental strength to delight some 3’500 home fans and make it to the next stage of Europe’s top competition. The team is also plagued by injuries at the moment with libero Carlos Teixeira having joined a list that already included André Lopes, Oliver Kieffer and Borislav Petrovic.
