TRENTINO and Zaksa play for leadership in Pool C
2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Trento, Italy, December 13, 2011. TRENTINO PlanetWin365, three-time winner of the CEV Volleyball Champions League as well as of the FIVB Club World Champs, will be playing on Wednesday its second home match for this year’s European campaign by hosting Poland’s Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE. As both teams got 6 points from the previous rounds of action, this game will eventually determine the provisional leader of Pool C.
TRENTINO is performing well in domestic competitions, being ranked first in the national league after claiming two wins from the last rounds of play with Vibo Valentia and M. Roma Volley. Some players – namely middle blocker Emanuele Birarelli and libero Andrea Bari plus setter Lukasz Zygadlo – got back last week from Japan after they had participated in the FIVB World Cup, so for the last few days Bulgarian-born head coach Radostin Stoytchev was able to work with the complete group. He is likely to go for the usual starting six with Matteo Burgsthaler to be probably replaced by Steve Brinkman.
“The upcoming matches with Zaksa are certainly the toughest of the preliminary phase” says Stoytchev. “The final standings of the group chiefly depend on the results of these matches. We want to finish first to get a good draw for the Playoffs 12. Zaksa is a strong team and not coincidentally last year they played the final of the CEV Cup. They have very talented and experienced players, so we have to stay focused to get a good result. We shall try to exploit the home advantage and then travel more relaxed to Poland when it comes to the return match next week” he adds.
