Noliko MAASEIK welcomes group favorite Arkas IZMIR for second leg in Pool A
2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Maaseik, Belgium, October 23, 2011. After losing its first match against Iraklis THESSALONIKI this past Wednesday, Belgian champion Noliko MAASEIK is looking forward to the first home game in the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League hosting Turkey’s Arkas IZMIR this coming Tuesday.
“For me Arkas IZMIR is the clear favorite for topping the final standings of Pool A” says Noliko’s head coach Vital Heynen. “Their clear 3:1 win over CSKA SOFIA from last week confirmed this. Our ambition for Tuesday is to win at least 1 ranking point and if possible 2 or even 3 and of course we would like to present an exciting Volleyball game to all the fans coming to the Lotto Dôme” Heynen concludes.
It will be a special match for Arkas IZMIR’s Brazilian wing spiker Joao Paulo Pereira Bravo who played for Noliko MAASEIK from 2002 until 2005. “For me it is very special to come back to Maaseik, I have a lot of very good memories,” Bravo states. “Noliko MAASEIK is one of the most professionally organized Volleyball clubs with wonderful fans and remarkable people working for the club, but I’m lucky to also have this in Izmir. This game will be very difficult because Noliko is a team hard to beat in their home base, however we will give our best to return to Turkey with a positive result” says Bravo.
On Saturday Noliko MAASEIK also won the sixth game in the Belgian Championship 3:0 (25-23; 25-22, 25-22) against Prefaxis MENEN and remains the undisputed leader of the league with an immaculate 6-0 win/loss record.
