CEV re-schedules #CEVChallengeCupM quarterfinal fixture
CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2020 - Men
Luxembourg, February 26, 2020. After liaising with the relevant parties, the CEV has managed to reschedule the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2020 – Men quarterfinal between Italy’s Allianz Powervolley MILANO and SAAREMAA VC of Estonia postponed earlier this week. The two fixtures will be taking place next week in Kuressaare, Estonia, with the matches on consecutive days, i.e. on Wednesday and Thursday, March 4 and 5, 2020 at 19:00 and 18:00 local time, respectively.
On Sunday, the CEV had to postpone the match scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, in Milano after the regional authorities announced the closing of all public events up until March 1 included in response to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the region of Lombardy.
The matches will be taking place in Kuressaare after the two parties agreed with the CEV on the terms of the re-scheduling. The eventual winners of this double fixture will move on to the semis and play there Portugal’s Sporting Club LISBOA or Hungary’s Penzügyör BUDAPEST.
