Saugella MONZA hope to continue #CEVChallengeCupW winning streak in Le Cannet
2019 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Women

Monza, Italy, February 26, 2019. Saugella MONZA travel to France to play Volero LE CANNET on Wednesday for the first round of the 2019 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Women semis. The team coached by Miguel Angel Falasca will try to achieve a good result as they have a little advantage by virtue of playing the return match on March 6 in Monza. Saugella have swept six matches in a row in the competition this far and they look forward to the matchups with Volero as they wish to progress to the final stage of the tournament.

Francesca Devetag is their top scorer in the Challenge Cup with 62 points this far, while Hanna Orthmann leads the way in the serving area with 14 aces. Devetag is also the best blocker of the Italian team, with 17 stuffs to her name.

Marika Bianchini, player of Saugella MONZA: “It won’t be an easy game against LE CANNET. It will be a challenging away match; we know they play with our same ball in their national league, which is different from the one we use in the Challenge Cup. However, this ball facilitates my serve so I am quite happy for this, especially for being able to help the team. We are coming from a great win against NOVARA in the national league and in France the goal is to achieve a positive result.”
