Kanti SCHAFFHAUSEN storm to comprehensive away victory in Zagreb
2019 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Women
Zagreb, Croatia, November 28, 2018. Out of a number of matches scheduled on Wednesday night for the 16th Finals of the 2019 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Women, Kanti SCHAFFHAUSEN of Switzerland were among the teams to emerge victorious as they routed Mladost ZAGREB of Croatia 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-21).
Both teams made a considerable number of mistakes but the visitors from Switzerland were the better side in the end. Mladost could keep their pace for the first half of the first and second sets but Kanti SCHAFFHAUSEN were in control when it mattered the most, i.e. towards the end of each set.
“I congratulate the Swiss team on their victory and better performance. We have a lot of things that we need to fix in our game in the next days in order to be ready for the return match next week in Switzerland,” said the home team’s head coach Saša Ivanišević.
