‘Panthers’ need comprehensive win in MOTW to stay in contention for quarter-finals

Luxembourg, February 26, 2019. It is a make-or-break bout for Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO when they host LKS Commercecon LÓDZ in the last ‘Match of the Week’ scheduled for the pool stage of the 2019 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women. The Italian ‘Panthers’ – silver and bronze medal winners in 2017 and 2018, respectively – can only drop one set if they are to stay in contention for a spot in the quarter-finals even though much depends on the results of the matches from other pools as well. Head-to-Head
• Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO and LKS Commercecon LÓDZ meet for the second time in the Champions League after the reverse fixture this season.
• Imoco Volley won 3-0 in Lódz on 22 January. Three players reached double figures in scoring for the visitors: Samanta Fabris (16), Robin de Kruijf (13) and Kimberly Hill (12).
• Imoco Volley failed to win their previous CL home match against Polish opposition, a 3-2 defeat versus Chemik POLICE in the 2016/2017 fourth round.

• Imoco Volley have won 15 of their 17 CL matches played at home in Treviso, including each of their last eight since a 3-0 defeat against VakifBank ISTANBUL in the 2016/17 final.
• Two of Imoco Volley's three CL wins this season have come in five sets. They could record three five-set wins in a CL season for the first time.
• Robin de Kruijf is the only player with 20 points from stuff blocks in the fourth round this CL campaign.
• Joanna Wolosz (54.65%) currently has the best setter efficiency in this season's fourth round.
LKS Commercecon LÓDZ
• LKS Commercecon LÓDZ can no longer qualify for the Champions League quarterfinals.
• LKS Commercecon won their first CL match, 3-1 at home against SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN, but they have lost their four CL fixtures since.
• Monika Bociek (58) is LKS Commercecon's leading scorer in the CL. She scored the most points for her team in three of their five CL matches, all at home.
• Regiane Bidias (15 at Savino Del Bene SCANDICCI) and Agata Wawrzynczyk (15 at SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN) led their team in scoring in their away fixtures.
• Klaudia Alagierska has scored 15 points from stuff blocks this CL campaign, at least 11 more than any of her teammates.
