Down to four in race to compete at #SuperFinalsBerlin, buy your tickets!
2019 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men & Women

Luxembourg, March 23, 2019. Almost half of the tickets (4,114, i.e. 49.15%) for the eagerly anticipated CEV Champions League Volley 2019 Super Finals have found their owners already! The interest in the Volleyball party of the year in the German capital is growing with each day and we can look forward to a full house when the top teams in Europe take the court at Max-Schmeling-Halle on May 18!

After completion of the quarterfinals earlier this week, there are four men’s and four women’s teams still in contention for the crown. Teams from Italy, Russia and Poland are still ‘alive’ in the men’s tournament with the semis providing a truly exciting clash between Sir Colussi Sicoma PERUGIA and Zenit KAZAN in a repeat of the 2017 gold medal match and 2018 semi-final. It will be a special couple of matches for Wilfredo Leon: the Cuban-born superstar moved from Tatarstan to Perugia for the 2018-2019 season, after helping Zenit claim a record four straight titles in the competition.

In the other men’s semi-final, Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA and PGE Skra BELCHATOW will add another chapter to their rivalry – which accounts already for as many as 10 #CLVolleyM matches. Cucine Lube are chasing their fourth straight medal in the competition and their first title since 2002, while Skra hope to improve on the silver medal they won on home soil in 2012.

The women’s competition is just as exciting, with two teams from Italy and another two from Turkey that made it to the semis earlier this week. Title-holders VakifBank ISTANBUL regrouped after their setback in Moscow to deliver a truly dominant performance and play Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA in the semi-finals. NOVARA are the only team in the competition with a perfect record of eight wins in as many matches this season.

Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO caused a sensation as they eliminated Eczacibasi VitrA after suffering a heavy home loss in the first round of the quarterfinals. They now play another side from Turkey’s megalopolis, Fenerbahce Opet, with the Yellow Angels seeking for a spot in the title-deciding match for the first time since they won the title in 2012.

Who is going to secure a ticket to the #SuperFinalsBerlin? We will know in less than three weeks, in the meantime make sure you check the event website here and buy your tickets to be a part of the ultimate Volleyball show!
