Moscow, Russia, August 7, 2019. One thing that we have heard a lot during the the first days of #EuroBeachVolley at Luzhniki stadium is that the women's tournament is very unpredictable and there are 5-10 teams, who could shine bright enough to take the gold home. When asking the most reliable Beach Volleyball experts - best European players, they were as puzzled as anyone else.

Adrian Carambula of Italy set the tone of the predictions saying that discussing possible winners is a very sensitive topic, but eventually admitted that he wishes the victory to compatriots Marta Menegatti/Viktoria Orsi Toth just like Paolo Nicolai/Daniele Lupo.

Many teams wished the best to Nadezda Makroguzova/Svetlana Kholomina of Russia as the home team winning would be something special to fans and the girls alike. However Alexander Brouwer admitted that the last Dutch team standing - Joy Stubbe/Marleen Ramond-van Iersel would eventually end up on top of the tournament.

German and Czech teams can already be considered the heavyweights of Beach Volleyball, so it is no surprise the men would put their money on their wins. But you also cannot blame Christoph Dressler and Martins Plavins for trying to keep the friendly atmosphere and wishing their girls Katharina Schützenhöfer/Lena Plesiutschnig and Tina Graudina/Anastasija Kravcenoka the best in Moscow.

Which of these predictions will come true? That we will see in the evening of Saturday, August 10, when one team will be allowed to lift the trophy above their heads.
