Katja Stam/Julia Wouters needed three sets to edge Greece’s Konstantina Tsopoulou and Dimitra Manavi in a very close match (23-21, 19-21, 15-10). They will be playing home favourites Gaia Traballi and Agata Zuccarelli, who cruised to a 2-0 victory over Ukrainian twins Inna and Iryna Makhno (22-20, 21-15).

Federica Frasca/Arianna Barboni are the second Italian team to feature in the semis after recording a comprehensive 2-0 victory (21-18, 21-18) in their matchup with Victoria Faye Kjølberg/Ane Guro Hjortland of Norway. Their opponents will be #EuroBeachVolleyU20 silver medal winners Emi van Driel and Raisa Schoon, who needed two sets only (21-19, 22-20) to claim the Dutch and family derby with Mexime van Driel and Iris Reinders.
