Serbia to host Beach Volleyball Olympic qualifier in Novi Sad
2018-2020 CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup

Novi Sad, Serbia, June 7, 2019. The 2018-2020 CEV Beach Volleyball Continental Cup – Pool A event will take place at Štrand beach in the city of Novi Sad, on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, as a part of the qualifying process to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The top two teams per gender will progress to the next stage of the Continental Cup. Serbia, Sweden, Israel and Albania will compete in the women’s event, whereas in the men’s competition, Serbia, Belarus, Romania and San Marino will fight for a place in the next round.

Serbia will play with somewhat younger teams, due to injuries of Aleksandra Aleksić and Lazar Kolarić. In the women’s competition, Milena Matić/Tamara Miljević and Nataša Savović/Nina Škarić will carry the hopes of the host country, whereas in the men’s competition the home fans will cheer for Stefan Basta/Vukašin Rajković and Djordje Klašnić/Miloš Milić.

The competition in Novi Sad will start on Saturday at 9:00 am, with 50-minute slots for every match.
