Luxembourg, May 14, 2018. Following the successes from the last three years, Croatia has again been confirmed as hosting an international Beach Volleyball event in the shape of a Star-1 / Satellite event in early July next to the Zelena Laguna Bay.  With the support of the Croatian Volleyball Federation, Poreč will host a World Tour event bringing Beach Volleyball players and fans back to their beautiful shores for a festival of sporting action, outstanding natural beauty and entertainment.

A stadium of 600 seats will play host to three days of competition from the 5th to the 8th of July, utilising multiple competition courts.  Slots for 16 men's and 16 women's teams are available, with a qualification being ran for the same number of pairs, all vying for a share of the 10,000 EUR total prize money pot.  Just south of the main city of Poreč, Zelena Laguna Bay (pictured below) will be the setting for the event, providing the quintessential Beach Volleyball experience.

In another calendar update, there has been a slight change of dates for the Manavgat Star-1 event, which has now shifted to 20/6 to 23/6 (from the initially announced 21/6 to 24/6) due to the early General elections announced in Turkey and due to take place on June 24.
