Russia to host 2018 #EuroBeachVolleyU20 in Anapa
2018 CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship

Luxembourg, November 29, 2017. After completing a historic clean sweep of all age-group European titles at stake in 2017, Russia will be hosting the 2018 edition of the CEV U20 Beach Volleyball European Championship in Anapa. The competition will take place from July 12 to 15 and provide rising stars Maria Voronina and Mariia Bocharova with an opportunity to defend the crown they won earlier this summer in Vulcano before a raucous home crowd.

Even though Russia have played host to an impressive number of international Beach Volleyball competitions, the event in Anapa will coincide with the first-ever #EuroBeachVolleyU20 held on Russian soil. Earlier this year, Russia and more specifically the city of Kazan hosted the 2017 #EuroBeachVolleyU18 where the home teams completed a clean sweep of the men’s podium and Voronina/Bocharova sealed the first of two European crowns they claimed within just a couple of weeks.

Anapa is home to Voley Grad, a truly impressive sports complex owned and managed by the Russian Volleyball Federation designed to host training camps of the Russian national teams as well as international Volleyball and Beach Volleyball competitions. The city lies in the Krasnodar area, on the northern coast of the Black Sea and offers ideal conditions for Beach Volleyball players and fans – therefore all conditions are there to make the 2018 #EuroBeachVolleyU20 a success.
