The countdown started on Friday evening with the Technical Meeting, which took place at the official hotel of the event and served for all teams and delegation members as an opportunity to be informed about the rules and all technical aspects.
The tournament will be held at the Avant Garde Sports Club which boasts some excellent facilities and is situated in Kardia village, just outside the centre of Thessaloniki.
There will be free entrance for the spectators and the Greek Beach Volleyball champions Vasiliki Arvaniti/Maria Tsiartsiani and Georgios Kotsilianos/Nikos Zoupanis have made a public call for attendance, hoping that they will be playing in front of quite a few sports fans, which would boost their morale on Saturday and Sunday.
The games will start on Saturday morning as early as 09:00 local time. Germany will entertain Romania and Belarus will face hosts Greece in the men’s division. Later on, Germany will play against England and Greece will once again meet Belarus in the women’s competition.
