27/06/2013 19:00 Four Swiss pairs to highlight Main Draw in Lausanne 2013 CEV Beach Volleyball Satellite - Lausanne Lausanne, Switzerland, June 27, 2013. Three Swiss pairs are set to compete in the Main Draw of the CEV Satellite tournament running from Friday through Sunday in Lausanne. Home hero Sébastien Chevallier (pictured) will team up with Rafael Bissig after his usual partner Mats Kovatsch had to pull out due to injury. Mirco Gerson/Alexei Prawdzic and Gabriel Kissling/Jonas Kissling complete the Swiss contingent for the Main Draw. These three pairs were joined on Thursday by another pair of siblings, Andreas and Roman Sutter, who found their way to the Main Draw through the qualification. The major competitors for the home guys will be the Czechs Robert Kufa and Jan Hadrava who recently claimed the CEV Satellite in Montpellier and next week are set to travel to Stare Jablonki to participate in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championship. France’s Andy Cès and Edouard Rowlandson are another up-and-coming duo to watch out for. Andy Cès, 30, is a well-known face from the World Tour who previously competed with his brother Kevin while Rowlandson, 24, is the former libero of France’s national team who recently switched to Beach Volleyball showing great potential for this discipline as well. Germany’s Alexander Walkenhorst – winner of the CEV Satellite in Lausanne in 2011 with Thomas Kaczmarek – will try to go for a second crown this time together with Lars Flüggen. Spain’s Francisco Alfredo Marco and Cristian Garcia and Norway’s Morten Kvamsdal and Oivind Hordvik are other potential contenders for the medals. The show will continue also after the matches with an entertainment program that includes a giant Zumba class on Saturday. On that same day an amateur tournament will take place next to Bellerive swimming pool with the participation of 60 teams.
