CEV Beach Volleyball Challenger & Satellites

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 29, 2012. The 2012 edition of the CEV Beach Volleyball Satellite in Lausanne got started on Thursday with the qualification round while the local fans can’t wait for the first matches of the Main Draw that is joined by Swiss top pair Patrick Heuscher and Jefferson Bellaguarda as well as by Denmark’s brothers Anders Lund and Soere Svan Hoyer.
The qualification round played on Thursday right by the swimming pool of Bellerive Park was highlighted by a decorated Estonian guy, Rivo Vesik, together with his young partner Kristo Kollo, as well as by France’s Edouard Rowlandson and Yannick Salvetti.
Switzerland will be represented in the Main Draw by Heuscher/Bellaguarda, Mirco Gerson and Philip Gabathuler as well as by Mats Kovatsch/Jonas Kissling, a young pair that finished fifth at the 2009 FIVB Junior World Championship and was assigned a wild-card by the CEV.
Great actions will surely follow through this weekend and after the major disappointment that resulted from the last couple of editions, the Swiss fans are looking forward to having their heroes among the semifinalists. Sun and perfect weather conditions shall be an additional feature for the next days there right by the shores of the Lake of Geneva.
