22/05/2012 18:00 A good share of Europe's elite to highlight Baden Masters & Satellite 2012 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship Baden, Austria, May 22, 2012. The CEV Baden Masters & Satellite is just about to start with the competition running through May 23-27 at “Strandbad” in Baden. This city in the outskirts of Vienna has gradually turned into a real Beach Volleyball “Mecca” and this edition of the tournament won’t be an exception to that good tradition with five days of classy actions hopefully blessed by the sun and great weather. Austria’s Beach Volleyball stars will be all in attendance, including 2010 winners and 2011 European silver medalists, Sara Montagnolli and Barbara Hansel. The recently formed duo Clemens Doppler/Alexander Horst will highlight the men’s competition together with Xandi Huber and Robin Seidl, last year’s finalists in Baden, and up-and-coming pairs Hupfer/Leeb and Kunert/Petutschnig. The women’s competition will be highlighted also by Stefanie and Doris Schwaiger, who last year were eventually ranked second in Baden. “The fact that all Austrian stars together with many foreign teams are playing here shows that our tournament has established itself as the capital city of Beach Volleyball in the eastern part of Austria“, so Nicolas Hold from local promoter Vision05. Special parties will be organized on Friday and Saturday with top DJs in attendance and live acts also included in the program.
